Around 2010 or so, we noticed that signs had been pointing to an eventual shift from search-based query to master intent search. That meant that we would soon see a paradigm shift in how we consume online information. We would move from a “go surf the web” kind of premise, where the search engines are prominent, to what we coined a “seashell model”, where you bring the data and information directly in context, where and when you need it. It allowed us to envision a framework of connected apps that takes advertising to a whole different level, reducing the noise down to a pure signal of ads you actually want to consume and enjoy thoroughly.

Back in the late nineties, I was envisioning a human capital fund where professionals could invest their time and effort into startups to accelerate them in exchange for equity. Although there were intricate ways to deliver such a concept, it was quite the moonshot back then due to intricacies of the rules on qualified investors. Now that laws have caught up with the true principles of real crowdfunding, new doors have opened and made such an endeavor much more viable. How exciting!

We decided to make your life easier and built a better discovery engine. You can now enjoy all things local in one easy, convenient and exciting online destination. It’s pleasing and highly visual thanks to a card-based interface similar to Pinterest. It feeds on the existing directories, marketplaces, websites, deal sites, event platforms, news sites and social media thanks to its multi-feed engine.
